올해 잘한 일 2022년 5월, 아직 한해가 반도 지나지 않았지만 올해 잘한 일 중에 하나는 다시 도서관을 이용하기 시작한 일이다. 벌써 10여년도 더 된.. 일도 공부도 참 의욕이 많았던 시절 새벽녁까지 책을 읽던 열정을 지금은 따라가지 못하지만, 책을 좋아하는 것에 비해 다독도 못하고 있지만 그래도 다시 책을 읽고 있는 내가 좋고, 다음에 읽을 책을 찾아보는 시간이 행복하다. 책 읽는 일을 게을리 하지 않으며, 책이 주는 설레임을 쭉 유지했으면 좋겠다. 2022. 5. 10.
위화 : 인생 책을 읽을 때, 서문과 뒤에 해설, 해석까지 한장도 놓치지 않고 다 읽는다. 이 책을 읽은 후, 너무나 기구한 인생을 살아온 주인공을 통해 작가가 말하려는 의도가 뭔지 이해하기 어려워, 다시 책의 앞 장을 펼쳤다. 다시 서문을 읽으며 작가가 이 작품을 통해 말하고자 하는 바를 기억하며 작품을 이해해 본다. 이 작품의 원제 '살아간다는 것(活着)'은 매우 힘이 넘치는 말이다. 그 힘은 절규나 공격에서 나오는 게 아니라 인내, 즉 생명이 우리에게 부여한 책임과 현실이 우리에게 준 행복과 고통, 무료함과 평범함을 견뎌내는 데서 나온다. p.8작가의 사명은 발설이나 고발 혹은 폭로가 아니다. 작가는 독자에게 고상함을 보여줘야 한다. 여기서 말하는 고상함이란 단순한 아름다움이 아니라, 일체의 사물을 이해한 뒤에 .. 2022. 5. 10.
