I always feel this pressure of being a strong and independent icon of womanhood,
and without making it look my whole life is revolving around some guy.
But loving someone, and being loved means so much to me.
We always make fun of it and stuff.
But isn't everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more?
난 항상 압박감을 느끼는 게
강하고 독립적인 여성의 본보기가 돼야 하고
남자가 인생의 전부는 아닌 것처럼 보여야 한다는 거지
하지만 누군가를 사랑하고 사랑받는 건 나한테도 큰 의미가 있어
항상 비웃고 말지만
결국 우린 모두 좀 더 사랑받길 꿈꾸고 있잖아?

I believe if there's any kind of God
it wouldn't be in any of us, not you or me but just this little space in between.
If there's any kind of magic in this world
it must be in the attempt of understanding someone sharing something.
I know, it's almost impossible to succeed but who cares really?
The answer must be in the attempt.
만약 세상에 신이 있다면
너나 나 우리 안에 존재하는 게 아니라, 우리 사이에 존재한다고 생각해
이 세상에 마법이란 게 있다면
누군가를 이해하고 함께하려는 노력안에 존재할 거야
물론 그 시도가 성공하긴 어렵겠지
하지만 알 게 뭐야?
해답은 그런 시도 안에 존재할 테니까

영화를 보지 않아도 뻔히 알 것 같은 스토리이기에
명작이라고 불리워도 그렇게 끌리는 영화는 아니었다.
하지만 영화를 보면서 두 젊은 남녀의 건강하고 지적인 대화를 보면서
과연 나는 누군가와(남녀를 떠나) 저런 대화를 나눌 상대가 있었던가..
내가 그런 대화를 나눌 상대였던가를 생각해 보게 되었다.
